From Liberalism to Parity: Three Models for Family Law
Treatises and handbooks rarely account for all the theoretical considerations involved in the presentation of a topic. These considerations, therefore, tend to become a routine that is repeated with little or no effect. The goal of this paper is to present three models that have been used to construe and expound doctrine on rules concerning marriage, divorce and parent child relationships in the Latin American Tradition. Lastly, my intention is to enrich the contemporary debate on the reform of these rules by providing tools, arguments and perspectives on the limits and opportunities of each model.
