Bernardo Bolaños-Guerra is a professor of Law and Philosophy at the Department of Humanities at the Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAM) in Mexico City. He has a Law degree from UNAM and a PhD in Philosophy from Sorbonne. He received a post-doctoral grant in Political Philosophy at the University of Paris 1 in 2006. Bolaños teaches General Philosophy, Environmental Law and Philosophy of Law. His most recent books are: Introducción al pensamiento de Blas Pascal (UAM, 2009) y Esclavos, migrantes y narcos. Acontecimiento y biopolítica en América del Norte (UAM-Juan Pablos, 2013). He was the editor of Biopolítica y migración. El eslabón perdido de la globalización (UAM, 2015). His current lines of research are on the rights of environmental migrants, environmental ethics and Mexican environmental law. He co-coordinates a doctoral seminar on political ecology and environmental crises at UAM. |
