In this brief text, the author introduces the debate between Ricardo Guastini and Rafael Hernández Marín with respect to the interpretation of law. In this debate, Guastini holds a sceptic position, while Hernández Marín supports a cognitive theory of the interpretation of law. These different ways of understanding interpretation of law are challenged by an interesting exchange of ideas that allows us appreciate the extent and limits of each position.
