In somecountries,women assumemany functions ofthewelfare State. Accordingly,t heirmassive migration to developed countries causes welfare losses to their native countries. Even if the so-called “brain drain” and “care drain” represent an important loss for the native countries, migrants do not have a moral duty to compénsate for this loss. It would be unfair to impose taxes on them. Disadvantaged individuáis, considered on a global scale, should have priority in redistribution policies. We advócate for equality of opportunities from a cosmopolitical perspective
