Abstract

Los debates acerca de la relación entre globalización económica y democracia nacional tienen una larga trayectoria. En un extremo del espectro se encuentra la concepción según la cual la globalización, al combinar las operaciones del capital transnacional con el progreso tecnológico, sería un “tsunami” que arrasaría con los Estados territoriales y, con ellos, con la democracia nacional.
