¿Qué puede ofrecer la ética a la medicina?
Abstract
Si el filósofo de la moral no puede prestar su ayuda en los problemas de la ética médica, debe cerrar el negocio.
Si es verdad que la «medicina ha salvado la vida de la ética» –para usar la sugestiva fórmula de Stephen Toulmin – al plantearle problemas normativos concretos que han obligado a los filósofos a abandonar el no siempre muy fecundo nivel de la metaética, no hay duda que el progreso de la técnica médica se la ha puesto mucho más difícil.
