Abstract

Mercati nocivi: il caso del mercato della pornografia sessuale. Riflessioni a partire dalla teoria di Debra Satz 

Questo articolo si propone di analizzare il mercato della pornografia e il suo impatto sulla disuguaglianza e sulla subordinazione delle donne. Basandoci sullo studio teorico di Debra Satz sulla prostituzione (2010), sosterremo che la pornografia è un mercato nocivo. Sulla base di questa affermazione, esploreremo le differenze tra questo mercato e altri che hanno effetti simili. Considereremo quindi i costi e i benefici in termini di diritti, nonché le possibilità concrete e l'efficienza delle misure proibitive per regolarlo. Concluderemo che, anche se la pornografia è un mercato moralmente riprovevole, la sua proibizione da parte dello Stato non è una conseguenza ovvia di questa affermazione.
